About Us / History

CCW-IVAS is dedicated to making a significant impact on ending Domestic Violence to women and women with children in Loudon County and surrounding areas by providing comprehensive services for over 20 years by way of safe haven transitional housing and long-term based housing. These services will offer empowerment skills to women and women with children so that, by choice, they can successfully redirect their futures. The displaced women and women with dependent children population, in need of lodging and meals, is often recognized as single women and women with children (single parent families) who have been abandoned by their partners or family members, have been evicted from residence, and do not have the financial means to support themselves or their children.

History: CCW-IVAS is a community based non-profit agency founded in 1991 as Loudon County Domestic Violence Crisis Center located in Lenoir City, TN. In 2006, the name was changed to Iva's Place and services were extended to include lodging for Women in Crisis and transitional apartments. In 2008 in the City of Loudon, the Neighborhood Stabilization project was started to provide low cost homes.
